Information for Families Exploring Educational Optionstitle
With its proximity to the heart of Silicon Valley and Stanford University, M-A frequently receives requests from families who are relocating or on special assignment. We will be happy to provide families with a folder of school information. This will include: the school profile, school statistics, four-year trend of college destinations, sample education plan, and course offerings. It will also include information about our STEM classes, Visual and Performing Arts, Career Technical Education, Clubs and Athletics. To arrange to receive a folder, please contact Lorry Orcutt.
We also offer families a student led tour of campus with one of our leadership students during fourth or fifth period (12:00 - 2:00). To set up a tour, please contact Leadership Teacher Mike Amoroso. At the conclusion of your tour, we will provide the e-mail address for one of our guidance advisors. They will be happy to respond to any specific programming questions via e-mail.
The Board of Trustees desires to provide enrollment options that meet the diverse needs and interests of the district's students. Ninth Grade Open Enrollment is a period of time when an incoming 9th grade student may request a high school other than their assigned home school to attend. You must complete an online Open Enrollment Transfer Application to be eligible. You do not need to complete an Open Enrollment Transfer Application if you want your child to attend their assigned home school. Please refer to the district website Open Enrollment Page for program details and deadlines.
This video highlights some of the electives that may interest incoming ninth graders. For the full version of the video, please see the elective page. "Electives at M-A" created by students in Mr. Giambruno's Video Production Class.
