M-A Service Day
Annual Day of Service
Since 2019, the M-A SLC has planned and executed a single day of service and engaged the student body to spark passion for civic and community engagement. Partnering with a number of local community organizations and not-for-profits, students assist on projects on sustainability and gardening, food insecurity and homelessness, beach clean ups and youth mentoring.
After participating in service with community members, the second half of the day is dedicated to reflection and discernment, paying close attention to felt experiences of consolation, desolation, joy and injustice.
