Academic Counseling

The Menlo-Atherton School Counselors follow the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) National Model and CA Standards for School Counseling. The ASCA National Model guides M-A school counselors in the development of a school counseling program that focuses on the three domains of counseling: Academic, Career, and Social/Emotional Development.

M-A School Counselors provide information, direction, and support to all students navigating high school and preparing for post-secondary planning. Counselors deliver the counseling curriculum through individual meetings, small groups, and classroom presentations.
