Buses serving neighborhoods north and east of campus

The 296 route is one of our most popular routes. It serves neighborhoods along Middlefield Rd. to our north, and neighborhoods in East Palo Alto to our east and southeast.

The 81 route serves East Palo Alto and Menlo Park. There are now additional routes to accommodate our bell schedule. [Note: the

Buses serving neighborhoods west of campus:

The SamTrans 86 route replaces the 286, which formerly served Portola Valley and West Menlo Park.  Please note that effective 8/7/22 SamTrans discontinued all service along the Alpine Road corridor because of low ridership, and based on a recommendation from a multi-year-long transit planning study called Reimagine SamTrans.  Please see below under “District Buses” for information on buses serving students in Ladera and Sharon Park/ Heights.

UPDATE:
Route 86 Westbound trip serving Menlo-Atherton High School has added a pick-up on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays at 3:03 p.m. and Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m!
