The Menlo-Atherton Service-Learning Center (SLC) is commited to providing students with accessible, engaging service opportunities that build leadership, empathy, and real-world skills. The SLC aims to connect students with diverse community needs, encourage collaboration across cultures, and foster a lifelong commitment to service. By empowering students to take initiative and make meaningful contributions, The SLC strives to create a positive and lasting impact both locally and globally.

The Case for Community Engagement
Students...
- are more likely to understand and critically understand course content (Tannebaum, 2008).
- social skills are enhanced (Bailis and Melchior, 2002).
