Freshman Orientation & Arena Check-In, 2022
Freshman Arena Check-In will be Tuesday, August 16th.
Freshman Arena Check-In is a day to introduce freshman students and parents to M-A before the first day of school. Incoming 9th graders will enjoy a campus tour led by current M-A Leadership students while parents have the option to attend a Foundation for the Future Welcome Back Coffee in the PAC (see below). Students will also join their parents to go through Arena Check-In, where they will have their school photo taken, pick up their photo ID; get information about our bell schedule, transportation, and other essentials; pick up technology; and purchase Bear Wear and other items.
This year, students and parents will come to campus in two different time slots. Half of the students in each slot will begin their day on campus with a tour, while the other will begin with Arena Check-In, with the two groups switching tasks after 45 minutes. All students will start their day by checking in at the I-Wing next to Coach Parks field, where they will receive their group assignments, class schedules, and other info.
The timing is as follows:
9:00 to 10:45: Last names A-L
11:00 to 12:45: Last names M-Z

Please Join Us for a Welcome Coffee and Meet M-A Principal, Vice Principals, and Grads on Tuesday, August 16.
9th-grade parents, please join us for the Foundation for the Future Welcome Back Coffee in the Performing Arts Center (the "PAC") on August 16th at 9 AM while your student is on the campus tour (see this handout for your student's assigned time slot). Hear from M-A Principal Karl Losekoot, our Executive Director of the Foundation for the Future Ann-Marie Meacham, and 9th/10th Grade Vice Principals Tara Charles and Nicholas Muys.
After the coffee, you will reunite with your student in the G-wing to go through Arena Check-In.
